The Freeway Revival is sure to bring not only a consistent high quality of music, but a high quality of entertainment. Once you hear the beautiful guitar harmonies, subtle vocal harmonies, accompanied with an assortment of mesmerizing piano and organ melodies, the spell is cast; the listener is pulled into a barrage of classic sounding music that is firsthand lived and felt.

What started as a Zappa tribute band in 2006 as a side project has diverged into a four piece collective of talented musicians fusing a blues and jazz foundation with a twist of latin rock influences.  Along with special guest Michael Rosecrans, blues harmonica and vocalist from Sacramento’s Spotted Dog Blues Review, the Bongo Furys will be channelling some good time entertainment all night long.

A.C. Myles, guitarist and singer, has traveled the United States, Europe and the Middle East as guitarist/vocalist in Blues, Soul/R&B, Rock and Modern Country acts both as an invaluable sideman and as an ever-charismatic front man. Myles led his own blues/rock/roots trio primarily touring Northern and Central California for 6 years with 150+ bookings a year without agent or label and has sold several thousand of his self released recordings. In the past Myles has backed traditional blues artists Fillmore Slim, Craig Horton, The Carter Bros., Hosea Leavey. He just recently spent 2 years as touring guitarist for acclaimed R&B/Soul/Blues artist John Nemeth band touring 200 nights a year primarily in the United States, Canada & Europe

Beso Negro has an all-star lineup of internationally experienced musicians who have brought drive and passion to the genre of Gypsy Swing.Darker, faster, more danceable, more blues, more Gypsy, Beso Negro’s indelible fingerprint brings Jazz Manouche to a new generation and to the 21st century.

Big Earl and the Cryin’ Shame is an electric blues band from the Central Valley. They play Rockin’ Blues without losing the groove and feel real Blues lovers need. Big Earl and the boys really love playing and it shows, making fast friends out of first time listeners. This award winning band is coming to the Torch Club tonight and you don’t want to miss it.

 

Z has been performing all over the west coast from Seattle to San Diego & all the way to Jamaica & Haiti. Z’s last 7 years have been spent touring and recording with Five Eyed Hand who has released 2 albums and has performed at numerous events including High Sierra Music Festival & Harmony Festival. Currently Z is touring with his band the High Beamz featuring Murph on bass (Izabella), Erin Cassidy on Drums (Lonesome Locamotive) & Jefferson Bergey vocals (Freestone Peaches).  Lookout for portal busting sonic waves and funky transmissions
