Sacramento's Premiere Blues Club
Torch club was one of the first bars in Sacramento established in 1934 the year prohibition ended In the past it was known as a watering hole for politicians and has become the most popular Blues Club in the Sacramento Area. Long-time fans appreciate the return of the house bands which included: The Lew Fratis Trio, Jimmy Pailer & the Prophets, Aaron King Trio, Stacie Eakes and the Superfreaks and Mind X. Newcomers will be attracted to the club by national acts including Terry Hanck, Janiva Magness, The Delgado Brothers, Shane Dwight, Volker Strifler, Mark Hummel, Mick Martin & the Blues Rockers, Daniel Castro Popa Chubby, Chris Cain, and so many more.

The dance floor is large and ready for dancing!

We are located at 904 15th Street (between I and J streets). Across the street from the Memorial Auditorium.

We feature the hottest blues bands from Sacramento, the Bay Area and national acts!

The Nibblers

The Nibblers are a seven piece throwback to the grimy funk and soul of yore using a tasty mix of obscure retro favorites and original music to fill the dance floors. The members of the Nibblers have played in venues from New York to San Francisco and now are pooling their skills to shake selected California venues.

Jim Sprankle CD Release Party

Big Jim Sprankle is a Sacramento River delta bluesman, born in Vallejo and raised on a healthy diet of West Coast Blues and Chicagos finest. Sprankle drives his trusty old white Stratocaster through a wide array of blues, swing and rock tunes.

Mick Martin and the Blues Rockers continue to do what they do best, make great music and keep their thousands of fans happy. Totally honest music delivered by an exceptionally talented band that also happens to be the best of friends. Nobody fuses the blues and rock quite like these folks do.

Kaye Bohlers sumptuous voice can be heard in almost any style in almost any setting. From her powerhouse big band, to the soulful blues band to her intimate trio, Kayes style is always authentic and will always leave you wanting more.

Aces with Chris Cotton CD Release Party

Formed in 2000, The Aces have attitude and a different idea of how to play Blues. They reduce the Blues to pounding riffs and a distorted wall of sound topped by wailing harp. They were among the first to absorb and recast the drone riff-based Hill Country Blues style, and The Aces do that their own way.

The Delta Wires

The Delta Wires are a big, high-energy harmonica and horns blues band from the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area. They were Finalists out of 100 blues bands from all over the world, in the Blues Foundation's 2008 International Blues Challenge held in Memphis, TN. They have 5 CDs, and were voted Best Band Oakland/East Bay 2008, by the readers of Oakland Magazine.

Jimmy Pailer & the Prophets

With these musicians, you get very passionate and very energetic styles on stage. They provide a show that is sure to electrify any crowd and leave them wanting more. Look forward to seeing not only some high energy blues and funky tunes, but some ultra cool, and creative acoustic numbers as well, including some original collaboration.

Nothin Personal provide some Rockin Blues - Classic Rock & Roll, R&B and Blues. The music is anything from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Janice Joplin, Pretenders to Led Zeppelin.

Insomniacs

These musicians who have quickly jumped into the top tier of clubs and whose disc hit No. 5 on the blues charts and has been highly ranked since its release, tour endless highways in a beat up van, babying a gut-string upright, the 1951 Fender Nocaster guitar, the 1964 Framus Star Bass and their Magnatone and Ampeg tube amps.

Tony Lucca

Tony Lucca is an innately gifted singer/songwriter with a resume any musician would find gratifying. He's written and self- produced five studio albums, three EPs, several live recordings and a popular DVD. He's won the L.A. Music Award for Best Male Singer/Songwriter.

Eldon Brown

The Eldon Brown Band plays an infectious combination of Boogie-Woogie, Jump, Rockabilly, Bossa Nova, Swing, and Roots music. Dan O'Grady leads the band with his stylish vocal inflections, and is also a commanding a upright bass player.
