Sacramento's Premiere Blues Club
Torch club was one of the first bars in Sacramento established in 1934 the year prohibition ended In the past it was known as a watering hole for politicians and has become the most popular Blues Club in the Sacramento Area. Long-time fans appreciate the return of the house bands which included: The Lew Fratis Trio, Jimmy Pailer & the Prophets, Aaron King Trio, Stacie Eakes and the Superfreaks and Mind X. Newcomers will be attracted to the club by national acts including Terry Hanck, Janiva Magness, The Delgado Brothers, Shane Dwight, Volker Strifler, Mark Hummel, Mick Martin & the Blues Rockers, Daniel Castro Popa Chubby, Chris Cain, and so many more.

The dance floor is large and ready for dancing!

We are located at 904 15th Street (between I and J streets). Across the street from the Memorial Auditorium.

We feature the hottest blues bands from Sacramento, the Bay Area and national acts!

David Landon

Looking for guitar playing good enough to stop traffic? Then meet guitarist David Landon, who proved his point by playing in the streets of Paris for a few years before returning stateside. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area now, Landon creates plenty of excitement with his metal-edged rock guitar sound in his second outing, Chasin the Blues. He refreshed several of the very standard standards he takes on- especially a funked up version of Carl Perkins' "Blue Suede Shoes" by speeding em up and streamlining em and cutting loose with his Robben Ford-like liquid heat on the guitar.

Mick Martin and the Blues Rockers continue to do what they do best, make great music and keep their thousands of fans happy. Totally honest music delivered by an exceptionally talented band that also happens to be the best of friends. Nobody fuses the blues and rock quite like these folks do.

Saul plays a mix of blues, rock, pop and folk. Over the years, he recorded several CDs and has toured all over the world. These days he is on the road almost full time. Come enjoy is acoustic blues.

This is a band worth listening to and they pride themselves on being an ethically diverse group. Their years of talent and expertise are combined to form a unique, funky, bluesy, and exciting band, pleasing a wide fan base and gaining new fans everywhere they perform.

Pork Chop Tom

The band was formerly called Nighttrain has been playing Jump style blues since 1998. With a mix of Chicago style blues and West Coast swing this band has been performing in clubs and concert venues all over Southern and Northern California as well as Las Vegas Nevada. This band plays mostly all original music, which allows the crowd to get a real feel for the passion and love the Pork Chop Tom Band has for the blues.

Johnny Guitar Knox

Johnny Guitar Knox is a real bluesman. He helped define the blues scene in Sacramento. Johnny is a true-blue soul and one of the finest acoustic, and electric blues guitarist living in the world today. Bring harmonica player David Croall, drummer Pat Rat-A-Tat Balcom and Jack Crownover on bass. This is show you do not want to miss.

Kevin Russell

Kevin is a provocative player and his daring spirit is always apparent. Kevin has always believed you must grow musically and continue to strive forward and always remember the best is yet to come. Kevin is considered a very soulful melodic guitar player as well as a singer/songwriter and record producer. Friends all seem to share a common view, which is you can feel Kevins heartbreak, struggles and triumphs that connect us all to the music. I think Kevin says it best, music has been the true healer throughout my life and my way to share the love.
